Global Conflict Simulation

Write a 2 paragraph post based on your experiences in today's simulation. Cite specific experiences and events from our simulation in your response. Use the prompt below for your post.

-Explain the negotiations and decisions you and your country had to make as they assessed and dealt with the classroom crisis, as well as with other countries in our fictional world. What were your motivations? What issues or problems did you face?

-What were the 3 most important factors that eventually caused war in our class? In what ways were our causes of war similar to what happened in WWI?

Native American Mascots

Pretend your are principal of Souderton Area High School. The school community and employees are debating changing Souderton's nickname so we are no longer known as the "Indians."

If you were principal would you want to keep or remove the "Indian" nickname? Why?
     -Be sure to support your answer with reasons supported in the article we read in class
     -Be sure to consider the history of Native Americans in the late 1800s
     -Discuss the arguments of the other side
